We've
recently relocated our corporate offices to Portland, Oregon and are
moving quickly to assemble a high-energy, Portland-based team. Because
we're a small company with big goals, we're looking for proactive,
self-directed individuals who enjoy the challenge of tackling multiple
projects in diverse disciplines — teammates who thrive on personal
growth and want to have a lot of fun along the way. Our objective
is simple: To help young people and their families conquer important
life milestones and live more successful and fulfilling lives. Put
another way, we're on a mission to really change the world.
We are currently looking for a:
· Blazing-fast writer/researcher — someone with excellent
research, interviewing, and writing skills who is comfortable in
a fast-paced journalistic-style environment. This individual will
play a primary role in researching and drafting our upcoming series
of books, audio products, DVDs, and website content. He or she must
have strong computer skills, and should be savvy at rapidly tracking
down information via the Internet, phone interviews, and other methods.
If this individual has basic Web design and HTML programming skills,
even better.
· Visionary marketing/PR whiz — someone with excellent
communication and phone skills who will serve as a primary liaison
with our media, corporate, and school contacts. This person will
be responsible for day-to-day PR efforts, soliciting sponsorship
deals and joint marketing partnerships with Fortune 500 companies,
as well as scheduling and managing our events and tours. This unique
individual will help us blaze multiple paths into new markets that
maximize the value of our innovative products, services, and creative
events.
· Imaginative Web, audio/video, & graphic designer
— someone who can dream up and execute exciting presentations
for our print, CD/DVD, online, and live-event materials. More than
just a visual artist, however, this individual should have strong
Web programming skills and the ability to learn new technologies,
programming languages, and systems quickly. Experience in music
production and video editing a plus. This person will also be maintaining
and enhancing our interlocking network of multimedia websites.
· Special assistant to the president — someone with
excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills
who will assist our president with all aspects of our business.
This will include managing our president's schedule, drafting and
responding to correspondence on behalf of our president, offering
support services to our research and marketing endeavors, coordinating
interoffice communication, as well as additional secretarial duties.
This talented person not only acts a gatekeeper to our president,
but also anticipates and executes what is necessary to help keep
our office functioning efficiently and smoothly.
